This research proposes a novel control strategy for the control of ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) plant using double-stage Rankine cycle with the variation of warm seawater temperature. The control strategy is derived based on the heat exchange in evaporator and condenser of OTEC plant, and realized by PI control law. The usefulness of the proposed control strategy is confirmed through numerical simulations using a simple dynamic model.
