概要:
抄録:
A field survey was conducted to compare the working performance and cost of three types of power tillers for tillage operations in Kampar Region, Indonesia. A total of 22 rotary tillers, 11 moldboard plows, and 27 hydro tillers were purposively selected from seven districts in the region. The managers, custom operators and mechanics of the machines were interviewed to collect data in 2012/2013. The results showed that hydro tiller was better in term of working performance, saving operational costs, and making profit. The machine required only 3.07 ha/season to reach break-even. Therefore, the farmers are suggested to choose hydro tiller for performing tillage operation due to the higher working performance, more economical, and quickly justify for owning the machine.
