But in Geotechnical Engineering fields, utilization of ceramic waste has almost unprecedented. Soft clay with high water content and fly ash is also industrial waste. On the other hand, decomposed granite soil has been often used in construction field in Japan. However, the excavation of decomposed granite from mountain side results in deforestation. To reduce the environmental load, substitution materials should be developed. Based on these backgrounds, geotechnical properties of the crushed ceramic waste, effect of additive materials for chemical soil improvement and effect of auxiliary materials for physical soil improvement were investigated. From these results, utilization of waste ceramic pieces for geo-materials was discussed. From the tests results, it is clear that the ceramic waste can be used as additive materials in physical and chemical soil improvement.英語フィールド
