概要：
現代の病院は、ICTの活用が広く進んでいる。病院情報システム（HIS）や様々なネットワークを介し、様々な部署のスタッフが患者情報を共有している。近年では、音声とデータの両方を利用した無線通信が用いられている。しかし、これらの通信システムはで多くの問題が発生している。その原因は様々であるが、主な原因は施設管理に起因する問題である。これらの問題を解決するためには、建物の建設・改修計画の早い段階から、建物の建設・管理部門とICT担当部門との学際的な連携が必要である。

ICT applications are widely used in modern hospitals. The staff members of various departments share patient information on hospital information systems (HIS) and through a variety of networks. The latest applications are based on wireless communication that uses both speech and data. Unfortunately, many problems have arisen in terms of the maintenance and management of these communication systems. Although the causes are from many sources, a main contributor is problems that originate in facility management. In order to solve these problems, interdisciplinary co-operation among the building construction and maintenance sections and the sections responsible for ICT should begin in an early stage of planning for construction or remodeling.
