概要:
This paper aims to analyze the transition of land use in Hachibatake, Honmura, Gounoura, Iki island. Farmer area of Iki island has been found to have a land use pattern of the Scattered Units ― mountains in the background, housing and fields ― and arable land. However, some of those places seem to have been demolished, and Hachibatake is one of them. We organized the information on cadastre and cadastral maps made in the Meiji era, and reconstructed the cadastral maps of each period. We then used this information to analyze the land use transition. The results revealed the following First of all, the land use pattern was established in the Meiji era. Then, in the 1900s, residential lots began to increase on the mountainside, and in the 1910s, lots began to increase on the flat side as well, and until 1970, almost the entire area along the road was residential. Thus, we were able to show that changes in the land use pattern are occurring in some farmer areas of Iki island, such as along roads.
