概要:
抄録:
In this research, in order to study the tribological properties of the plasma-sprayed alumina coatings for the artificial hip joints, pin-on-disk wear tests were carried out in Hanks’ balanced salt solution (HBSS) which may contains bovine serum albumin (BSA). The coefficient of friction and wear rate increased by adding BSA, and also peaks occurred much more frequently and highly in the coefficient of friction. Adsorption substances of BSA were observed on the frictional surface in BSA added HBSS, but the frictional surface was smooth in the only HBSS solution, and the coefficient of friction was the lowest in this research. Therefore, it is considered that these adsorption substances affected significantly the tribological properties.
