A new solution method was developed using a unified Eulerian framework for compressible fluids and viscoelastic materials based on the five-equation diffuse interface model. The simulation of primary blast injury confirmed the generation of compression and expansion waves propagating within the viscoelastic material and strong high- or low-pressure regions due to their diffusion and convergence. This report provides an overview of the theoretical formulation for the solution method and evaluates the computational results.
