In this study, we propose a new estimation method of mechanical properties of a general viscoelastic medium. The procedure consists of an experimental measurement of a single microbubble oscillation in the viscoelastic medium induced by shock wave irradiation and a numerical solution with respect to an inverse problem of the Rayleigh-Plesset equation governing the bubble dynamics. We attempt to estimate the mechanical properties of a tissue-like material in a high strain rate region.
