Underwater expansion wave has possibility of the positive use to medicine. Since pressure behind the expansion wave becomes decreased sharply in water in contrast with a shock wave, a tensile force can be given to the medium that the expansion wave was irradiated with. As a result, the expansion wave may be applied to the advancement and creation of the existing and a novel treatment. Therefore it is necessary to get knowledge about the effect on living tissue by expansion wave irradiation. In this study, the interaction between simulated tissue and expansion wave will be measured experimentally and numerically, and the effect to living tissue will be discussed.
