In this study, a reflector for focusing was designed and produced to prevent the pressure wave from being refracted in comparison with the conventional reflector in order to improve the accuracy of expansion wave focusing in water. The improvement of the accuracy of focusing was experimentally validated from the pressure measurement and the visualization of the focusing process. In addition, using this reflector expansion wave was irradiated to the bubble installed in the focusing region of the biological equivalent phantom. The behavior was visualized using an ultra high speed video camera.
