The optimal velocity (OV) model is one of car-following traffic flow models, which can reproduce some observed features of the traffic flow on expressways. The acceleration and braking abilities are symmetrically introduced into the OV mode, besides the asymmetry in real vehicles. We introduce the asymmetry between acceleration and braking through the difference of the susceptibility in the OV mode. As a result, the density contrast becomes large between inside and outside of jam clusters. Jam clusters propagate slower than in the symmetric case.
