Particularly, the osteoarthritis (OA) which is a major joint disease (specially in knee) of aged people increases with age due to some damages in cartilage of knee joint. Although acoustic emission (AE) technique has been using in industry for several damage evaluation of materials, the AE signal processing technique has been applied for evaluating the disorderness of knee joint in the present paper as well. The technique of AE is medically safe for human body as it does not insert extra harmful energy to the human body like X-Ray, UT or so on. The present investigations especially focus on the dynamical behavior of knee joint for its integrity analysis with several non-destructive imaging conditions. AE signals have been collected from different positions of tibia, patella, and femur for getting sufficient information about the condition of cartilage of knee joint. Data shows the influence of increasing ages on knee problems which may cause pains like osteoarthritis, a vital knee disease of aged people.英語フィールド
